What you’ll do

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • • Coordinate with clients and the regulatory agencies to successfully implement customized compliance programs for our clients
  • • Manage the flow of air compliance projects to meet deadlines and client requests
  • • Evaluate and interpret regulatory requirements implemented by federal, state, or local environmental agencies
  • • Determine applicability of air quality regulations
  • • Produce and provide quality assurance of air permit applications for energy/industrial facilities
  • • Manage the preparation of an array of air compliance reporting and tracking; GHG, ESG, Quad Oa, KPIs, Emission Inventories
  • • Mentor junior staff in their professional development
  • • Assist with collaborative business development efforts

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:
  • • Must have at least a BS/MS degree in Engineering or related field of study
  • • 8+ years of relevant technical air compliance experience
  • • Experience with Texas and New Mexico air quality regulations
  • • Experience with ProMax
  • • Familiar with oil & gas operations
  • • Some local and out-of-state travel required
  • • The successful candidate must complete and pass a pre-employment drug test and
    maintain a drug-free status with our substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing

Environmental Scientist

Sphere 3 Environmental Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist for our Longview, Texas
office to provide regulatory compliance services for industries. This full-time staff position will be
responsible for conducting a variety of environmental surveys, reporting, and permitting.

What you’ll do

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • • Will need to comprehend and apply various environmental regulations to assist clients with compliance.
  • • Most work will involve environmental field assessments, audits, soil/water sampling, and permitting for the oil/gas industry.
  • • Conduct GPS field data collection and assist with other projects as needed.
  • • Conduct LDAR infrared camera leak inspections.

Required Qualifications

  • • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a science or engineering-related field of study.
  • • Experience/training GIS and GPS
  • • Ability to work in the field and office environment (approximately 50% field/travel).
  • • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • • Must be able to travel, work outside in extreme heat or cold weather conditions, and safely
    conduct the physical aspects of field surveys.

Optical Gas Imaging Camera Operator

Sphere 3 Environmental, Inc. currently has an open position for an Optical Gas Imaging
Camera Operator
based out of its Longview, Texas office. This position will be full-time with
benefits. The successful applicant will travel to oil and gas facilities and conduct leak detection
surveys utilizing an Optical Gas Imaging infrared camera.

What you’ll do

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • • Utilize an Optical Gas Imaging infrared camera to inspect outdoor piping and equipment
    associated with oil and gas production facilities, midstream pipeline facilities, and gas plants.
  • • Conduct GPS field data collection and assist with other projects as needed.
  • • Approximately 75% of your time will be spent conducting field inspections away from the
    office for projects in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, with remainder of time spent
    in the office working on reports, mapping, and assisting with other projects.
  • • Will communicate findings with Sphere 3 managers and client representatives both verbally
    and in written reports.

Required Qualifications

  • • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in an Environmental or Safety related field of study.
  • • Must have a clean driving record.
  • • The successful candidate must complete and pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • • Ability to work in the field and office environment.
  • • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • • Must be able to travel, work outside in extreme heat or cold weather conditions,
    and safely conduct the physical aspects of outdoor facility inspections.
  • • Must be able to comprehend, follow, and apply a variety of safety procedures
    and regulatory requirements.
  • • Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.

Desired Qualifications

  • • Experience/certification with Optical Gas Imaging is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • • Experience with ArcGIS and oil and gas production equipment is also a plus.
